In Redstone Station, Sam and Olive Day, struggling with failing health and growing debt, welcome the return of the grand daughter, who was essentially abandoned by her young unwed mother, that they raised. It's hard, physical work that requires both brute force and an intimate knowledge of a farm's operational needs. Sam now sees Alice as the key to taking Redstone Station into a successful future. I got to know them so well that I knew how they would act in certain situations. In some ways, she was a little too perfect. Her only flaw was guarding her emotions but the conflict within her as a character and that she faced in her day to day life was quite weak. But raising her teenage daughter, Belle, in a small town where everyone knows everyone else's business is challenging.

The E-mail message field is required. Exceptionally hard-working, with an instinctive understanding of animals and a natural aptitude for farming, Alice is determined to justify her grandfather's faith in her. Her first novel, Redstone Station, was a bestseller. In contrast, Jeremy is open and 'out there'. It seems every month there is not one, but two or three new releases finding their way onto the shelves, everywhere.

But will the arrival of stockman Jeremy, a good-looking larrikin with a bad boy reputation, throw her and the path of Redstone Station off track? Exceptionally hard-working, with an instinctive understanding of animals and a natural aptitude for farming, Alice is determined to justify her grandfather's faith in her. Such beautiful story with links to the land and culture was lovely. In the tradition of Fleur Mc Donald and Nicole Alexander, this inspirational outback novel is the story of a woman who'll do everything to preserve her family's proud farming heritage. Therese Creed grew up in Sydney, one of nine children. He annoyed me from beginning to end.

It follows the familiar patters of girl meets boy, they have difficulties, in the end love wins through and girl gets boy and the reverse of course. I was a bit disappointed as it had the potential to be much more engaging. From an early age she loved horses and a dream of one day living in the bush. She married a farmer and lives and works on the family's 17,000 acre cattle station in central Queensland. For his part, Sam is delighted to have his granddaughter back on board. My Dad would then type them up and send them out as emails. After leaving school she became a primary school teacher for four years before deciding to take a break and spend some time riding a trail from Victoria to Queensland.

Jeremy was a great character who sometimes dominated the story, leaving shy Alice Day in the backdrop much of the time. But will the arrival of stockman Jeremy, a good-looking larrikin with a bad boy reputation, throw her - and the path of Redstone Station - off track? Highly recommend this amazingly glorious read!!!! A novel full of romance and drama about a strong young woman who needs all the determination she can muster to prove herself as a farmer - and finds love along the way. She now divides her time between helping out on the station and bringing up her four young children. But will the arrival of stockman Jeremy, a good-looking larrikin with a bad boy reputation, throw her - and the path of Redstone Station - off track? Exceptionally hard-working, with an instinctive understanding of animals and a natural aptitude for farming, Alice is determined to justify her grandfather's faith in her. She now knows a fair bit about fighting fires, pulling windmills, driving trucks and tractors, shoeing horses and fencing.

Her first novel, Redstone Station, was a bestseller. I keep noticing things about both Jeremy and Alice that I didn't notice the first time, and even though I know what's going to happen and how the story ends, I can't stop turning the pages. During a 5-month pit-stop she met a local farmer, Cedric Creed, who joined her riding further north to Cooktown. Life's been a bit tough lately and reading this story has lifted my spirits and given such joy! I felt the story didn't really go anywhere and just plodded along depicting this station life. I found the storyline somewhat predictable, but not too much. Exceptionally hard-working, with an instinctive understanding of animals and a natural aptitude for farming, Alice is determined to justify her grandfather's faith in her. For his part, Sam is delighted to have his granddaughter back on board.

Fencing, mustering and maintenance are all daily chores punctuated by seasonal work such as calving, weaning and branding. I am usually such a procrastinator and find it so hard to be organised, but with these voices driving me, I found that by the time I got to the computer I night, I was ready to explode with words, my face would burn with a blood rush to the head, and the only thing that slowed me down was my two-fingered typing. Alice Wilson is happy to be returning home to Redstone Station after two years at Ag College. In shaping Alice he and his wife tried to avoid the mistakes they made bringing up her mother, Lara, and Alice has more than lived up to their expectations, graduating from college with flying colours. Then it just took off. Now living in rural Victoria on a farm but have lived in Central Qld. I actually found Alice a little hard to connect with as she just seemed too mature, wise and confident for her 19 years and lacked a certain amount of emotion. .

After leaving school she became a primary school teacher for four years before deciding to take a break and spend some time riding a trail from Victoria to Queensland. About the Author Therese Creed grew up in Sydney, one of nine children. The work ethic is something to be admired and I think Creed does an excellent job of creating an authentic setting for her story and characters. Eighteen year old Alice has finished Ag college and is ready to devote herself to reviving her grandparents farm, desperate to repay their love and faith in her. Sam now sees Alice as the key to taking Redstone Station into a successful future. I'm not entirely sure about the plot of Redstone Station as I thought there seemed to be a lack of focus.

Redstone is her first love and her priority. In the tradition of Fleur McDonald and Nicole Alexander, this inspirational outback novel is the story of a woman who'll do everything to preserve her family's proud farming heritage. Jeremy was a good worker and he had some flashes of sensibility but most of the time I found him just irritating. Exceptionally hard-working, with an instinctive understanding of animals and a natural aptitude for farming, Alice is determined to justify her grandfather's faith in her. Was a good, easy and subsequently fairly quick read. It was just too good to be true. I would be doing something with my sons, mundane housework, jobs outside with the animals or cooking, and the voices would be nagging me with what they wanted to happen to them in the story.
